The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Africa have signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a strategic partnership to advance sustainable forest management and climate focused forest conservation across Africa.

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) Africa has announced the complete constitution of the Africa advisory committee, a select group of high-level experts from the forestry sector. The announcement was made during a regional members meeting held in Kampala, Uganda on 6–7 September 2023.
A total of 112 participants attended the event, including FSC members from the Economic, Social, and Environmental Chambers, government representatives, journalists, and high-level experts on natural resource governance from across Africa.
